# Taking everything with you.

Your records are yours. You can take a copy of all of them at any time, and close your account whenever you choose.

## How do I download a copy of everything?

From [Your account](https://app.palaestral.com/account), ask for a copy of everything Palaestral holds about you: your schedule, clients, client notes, lesson plans, signed waivers, every payment and refund, and what Palaestral took. It arrives as one file, every record as a spreadsheet and every signed waiver as a page.

The email saying it is ready links to your account rather than to the file, so a forwarded email opens nothing. The file waits for 7 days and is then deleted, and you can ask for 3 copies a day.

## What happens when I close my account?

Closing stops all new bookings at once and takes your pages down. Your upcoming lessons are called off and refunded in full, memberships end with the unused part of the month refunded, and unused lessons from a pack are refunded. Each client is told what it means for them.

For 30 days you can reopen the account with its notes, plans and settings as they were. After that your client notes, lesson plans and profile are deleted, and reopening starts fresh under the same name.

## What is kept after I close my account?

Signed waivers, for their own period; payment and sales records, which are part of your tax record; and your page names, so a link already printed on a flyer never passes to somebody else. Your Stripe account is your own and stays open. A closed account can still sign in and download what is kept. The [privacy page](https://palaestral.com/privacy#closing-an-instructor-account) lists everything and why.
