# Pricing is set before signups open in January 2027.

Nothing is charged before then. Card processing is Stripe’s, billed to your own Stripe account.

## A month, worked through

72 payments of $40.00: 3 clients in each of 6 lessons a week, for four weeks.

- **Your clients pay**: $2,880.00
- **Card processing, to Stripe**: −$105.12
- **Palaestral**: Not set yet
- **In your account, before Palaestral's fee**: $2,774.88

The month is an example, and you set your own prices. Card processing is shown at Stripe’s standard US card rate, 2.9% + 30¢ a charge as of October 20, 2026 on [Stripe’s pricing page](https://stripe.com/pricing); your own Stripe account sets the rate you pay.

## Where the money goes

You are the merchant. A client pays you, through Stripe, into your own Stripe account, and your money never sits with us on the way through. A client pays exactly the price an instructor lists, and nothing is added to it.

Stripe bills its fee to you, and any 1099-K is issued in your name. If you teach at a studio that keeps a share of what you sell there, that share is taken from the same payment and passes through us to the studio, the one part of a booking that does. What a refund does with each of those is on the [terms page](https://palaestral.com/terms).

## If the price changes

You will hear before any change applies, and a change never reaches a booking that has already been made.

A booking is charged at the price in force when the client books, and keeps that price whatever Palaestral charges afterwards.

Five steps from a link in your inbox to a page your clients book from.
