# An assistant books, and only the person signs.

Palaestral is booking, payments and client-record software for an independent instructor who sells their own time — surf, yoga, running, strength. A client can ask their own AI assistant to find a time with you and book it. It books exactly as your page does, under your rules, and hands the waiver and the payment back to the person.

A booking an assistant makes

1. Book me Thursday's surf lesson with Sample Coach
2. → `list_sessions` · Thursday ← Paddle drills · Thursday 6:30 am · $55.00 · 1 of 3 seats left
3. → `book_session` · Jo Example, jo@example.test ← `handoffUrl`: the booking's own page
4. → `open_checkout` ← `waiver_unsigned`: hand Jo Example the booking's page
5. Jo Example signs on their own device, from the link sent to jo@example.test
6. → `open_checkout` ← Stripe's own page, for Jo Example to pay on

No tool signs or pays.

- **What it reads**: Your times and your price as your page states them, and the seats left as they stand when it asks.
- **What it books**: Seats held under the name and address the person gave, inside your seat limits, your cutoff and your terms.
- **Where it stops**: Asked for the payment page before the waiver is signed, it is refused and told to hand the person the booking's page. Only the person signs and pays.

Sample data. Not a real instructor or client.

- 14 days of your times, stated for an assistant to read
- $55.00 a seat, as read, as booked and as paid
- 24 hours in which a retry never books twice

## What an assistant reads

What a client would read on your page, as data as well as words: what you teach, when, what a seat costs and your cancellation terms.

Your page lists the next 14 days of times, written again every night, beside a copy of itself in Markdown and a catalogue of what you sell. The seats left are written into none of them: an assistant is told them as they stand when it asks.

## What it can do

Book under your rules and nobody else's: the same seat limits, the same booking cutoff and the same terms as your page. It needs no key, and nothing exists for it that your page does not do.

It can also join a full time's queue, move a booking, or cancel one at the refund its terms give. A booking it makes is a booking like any other in your schedule, under the person's name and address. Each booking call carries a reference the assistant chooses, and the same call sent again with it within 24 hours is answered with the first booking, never made twice.

## Where it stops

Two acts are the person's, and no tool performs either. The person who made the booking signs the waiver for everybody on it, each by name, signed in from a link sent to the address it was made under, and the payment is theirs to make, by card on Stripe's own page.

An assistant that asks for the payment page before everybody has signed is refused, and told to hand the person the booking's page instead. Credits, a membership's visits and a first-visit price are reached only by the person, signed in.

## Where an assistant connects

The calls your page makes to book are offered to an assistant as tools over the Model Context Protocol, and described again as an OpenAPI document. Both are served by Palaestral, and neither needs a credential.

The [site summary](https://palaestral.com/llms.txt) gives their addresses and every tool. A client pays exactly the price an instructor lists, and nothing is added to it. A cancellation an assistant makes refunds what the booking's terms give back, and claims a late-cancel fee only where the person agreed to one when they signed; its answer names the fee.

## What stays with you

- Your rules, which an assistant books inside exactly as your page does.
- Every booking an assistant makes, in your schedule under the name the person gave.
- Each waiver, signed by the person who made the booking and kept with it.
